Women in Super

Women in Super is a not-for-profit association that provides a forum for, and enhances the opportunities of, women employed in the superannuation and financial services industry. It also lobbies and works with others to improve women’s access to superannuation. Women in Super was established in 1994 by the Conference of Major Superannuation Funds (now Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees).

Women in Super has a national association and each participating state has a management committee representing each of the major sectors within the superannuation industry. The committees are in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Each state committee organises regular networking events with guest speakers from across the industry.

Women in Super promotes charitable activities and in 1998 they established the Mother’s Day Classic - the national fun run and walk. Women in Super is the only Pink Diamond partner of the National Breast Cancer Foundation through its support of the Mother’s Day Classic. Since inception the event has raised $10.8 million for breast cancer research.
