Dragons Abreast Australia and the Mother's Day Classic have supported each other's events for many years, in a continuing effort to raise awareness of breast cancer in our communities.

Dragons Abreast Australia is a national charity comprised of breast cancer survivors (and some very special supporters) who meet regularly to paddle their way to health. There are over 30 groups around Australia with members of all ages, backgrounds and athletic abilities. After their treatment, many breast cancer survivors may ask "What's Next?" Paddling is a step that has been proven to improve fitness, health, and even happiness!! An additional benefit is that many members have uncovered skills they didn't know they had, gained support from fellow survivors and enjoy the camaraderie and friendship. If you are interested in joining a group, visit the Dragons Abreast website.

Want to learn more about paddling or even participate? Join us on 22nd October 2016 when Dragons Abreast Australia will hold their annual regatta at Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour, Sydney. Over 1,000 people take part in this fun, exciting event. Teams raise the entry fee and there are trophies for many different categories including best dressed. Don't miss out, we'd love to see our MDC supporters at this fun event.
