Results will be available here on the Mother’s Day Classic website from Monday 15 May 2017. Remember, only runners will be timed.
The Mother’s Day Classic assembly area is located at the western end of Langley Park (corner Victoria Avenue and Terrace Road).
There is an information marquee located at the assembly area. If you have any queries please go to the information marquee.
Tribute cards can be attached to your top in support or memory of a loved one touched by breast cancer. Tribute cards can be downloaded from the website, requested via the registration process or collected on day from the information marquee. A special Tribute Wall will be located within the assembly area on Langley Park. Participants can choose to pin their tribute cards to the wall after their run or walk.
A cloak room will be located within the assembly area in Langley Park. Participants will be able to store outer clothing during the event and collect once they have finished.
Please use the tear off strip from your race number to attach to your backpack or clothing bag.
Please do not place valuables in clothing storage as we cannot accept responsibility for valuables lost or stolen.
A first aid station will be located at the finish line near Victoria Avenue for those requiring emergency medical assistance.
If you require medical assistance whilst out on the course, please notify the nearest course marshal and they will contact the appropriate personnel to assist.
Water will be provided at drink stations located around the course and near the finish line on Langley Park.
Toilets will be located within the assembly area on Langley Park.
There will be a baby change and feed marquee in the main assembly area.
Be sure you arrange a clear meeting place for your family or team. We recommend meeting in the assembly area. The start line will be very crowded and a difficult meeting place.
A number of delegates, celebrities and sponsors will be appearing/presenting on the main stage. The main stage will also be used for the memorial minute of silence, warm-up aerobics and run presentations.
A range of hot and cold food and beverages will be available on Langley Park before, during and after the race.
All participants receive a 2017 medallion.
The placegetter presentation ceremony will be taking place on the main stage at 9.10am. Team trophies will be awarded on the main stage at 10.00am.
Mailed after the event 4km and 8km runs winners for each age category. Age categories - U15, U18, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
Runner's please note: Your results will be produced by net time. The timing tag attached to your race bib will record your official time from when you cross the start line until you cross the finish line. However, trophies will be awarded to the first three males and females in each event based on gun time. So, if you feel you have a chance of placing, please run in the first wave of your chosen distance.
