The Bowen event offers a 3km walk and run.

If you can not participate, you can come along and support all walkers and runners and join in the entertainment and activity taking place around the course!

Race packs, race numbers & timing

This regional event has a relaxed feel and will not have electronic timing, and hence no race packs or bibs are required to be collected by participants.

You can just turn up on the day and walk or run!

On the day timetable

7:00am On the day registrations open
7.45am Warm up begins
7.55am Official welcome/minute silence
8.00am 3km run starts
8.10am 3km walk starts 

The Course

Starting on the path adjacent to the amenities block, walk/run around the loop that surrounds the children's play ground before crossing over to the main lagoon area to walk/run over the bridge out to the turn around point at the serpent to then retrace steps back to the start.

A Certificate of Participation will be available here on the Mother’s Day Classic website from Tuesday 16 May 2017 for you to download and print!

Event day

Event will commence as close to advertised starting times as possible.

There will be a bag drop available.

Participants are advised to arrive at least 30 mins prior to their event start time to allow for bag drop and warm up.



Remember to fill in a tribute card to wear on the day in memory of a loved one or with words of encouragement to someone currently undergoing treatment. Create your tribute card here.
