The Ballarat event offers two walk or run distances, a 6km and 12km . Register on the day from 7.30am.

If running or walking isn't your thing then you can still join in the fun of the day by volunteering to help out.

Alternatively you can come along and support all walkers and runners and join in the entertainment and activity taking place around the course.

Remember to fill in a tribute card to wear on the day in memory of a loved one or with words of encouragement to someone currently undergoing treatment. Create your tribute card here.

How to register: 

Register online on the day from 7.30am

Cost

  • Adult - $20
  • Student / Health Card holder - $12
  • Child (16 years and under) - $10
  • Family (2 adults and up to 4 children) - $50
  • Family (1 adult and up to 4 children) - $30
  • Timing fee (mandatory for runners) - $4
Start times: 
  • On the day registrations open at 7:30am
  • Formalities begin at 8.45am
  • 12km runners start at 9.15am
  • 6km runners start at 9.20am
  • 6km and 12km walkers/families start at 9.25am

Registration will open at 7.30am on the day however we recommend you register online to avoid the queue. North Gardens will be open for carparking with access from Gillies Street. Car parking is limited and may be subject to weather. The event will commence in waves to prevent overcrowding, the 12km runners will commence first followed by 6km runners and then the 6km and 12km walkers/families. Please try to remain in allocated groups.

 

The course: 

6km run/walk will include one lap of Lake Wendouree. 12km run/walkers will be required to complete 2 laps of Lake Wendouree.

Getting there: 

Lake Wendouree is situated near Lake Gardens and can be accessed from Sturt St and Gillies St, Howitts St, Mair St and many other smaller streets. The event will start near North Gardens and the Botanical Gardens near Pipers Restaurant.

Medallions are subject to availability on the day

Activities at the event: 

Entertainment will include raffles, rock climbing wall, jumping castle, live bands, sausage sizzle, cofffee vans, stalls and much more!

Important information: 

Timing

If you already have an OTAG you dont need to pay for timing!!

If you request to be timed you will be able to collect your timing chip from the Athletes Foot Ballarat on the Friday/Saturday prior to the event, or on the day from the collection tent near the registration tent. Please note that timing chips/race packs are not mailed out.
