Personal Statement
Being diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2009 was both confronting and challenging. It was also inspiring, as I met many wonderful, strong and beautiful women throughout my treatment. Women of all ages, women with no hair, women with no breasts; all with a strong sense of determination and much needed humour to help battle this disease. While it seemed a long way off during the rigours of chemotherapy, I put this fund raising walk in my diary as something to aspire to. I'm delighted to be joined and supported on the walk by my long-time friend Kerry Curtin and my new friend from chemo, Kate Doquile. This year 14,000 women in Australia will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer and many families and friends will be touched by this silent killer. To sponsor me, simply click on the 'Sponsor me' button and complete the sponsorship details page. Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated. Thank-you. Kym Berchtenbreiter

As you may know, I have served on the Board of Trustees of the National Breast Cancer Foundation for the last four years. This is the second time I am doing the Mothers' Day Classic and I need you help to raise much needed funds for breast cancer research. You can help by sponsoring me right now!! I will be doing the 8 km run at the Sydney Domain on Mothers' Day morning - last year, I did the run in 63 minutes and raised just over $12,000 and have set the objective to come in below 58 minutes this year and would love to blitz the money I raised last year.... I am even going to see if my teenage children and gorgeous husband will run with me! Please sponsor me now!! Thank you Fiona

Personal Statement
My beautiful friend Karlee was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at just 21 years old.
Last year, she WALKED in the Mother's Day Classic just 2days after a dose of chemotherapy. Not only that, she was the highest individual fundraiser in QLD (10th in Australia) for the Cause 2009. Despite the physical and emotional trauma of losing her breast and her hair, going through chemo and radiation... SHE HAS BEEN STUDYING THE ENTIRE TIME AT UNI... working towards becoming a nurse. She is the most inspirational, strong and amazing girl and I am doing this for her.
As a permanent reminder of Karlee's strength and her fight to prevent, treat and research... I will TATTOO the pink ribbon onto my own breast when we reach our first goal of $5K. Then when we hit $10K I will also tattoo my other breast.
Help me support Karlee and all the other people who have/do suffer from breast cancer AND stop future sufferers.

Please sponsor me for the Mother's Day Classic.
As you know we lost our daughter Allison last year to cancer, so we have decided as a family to run the 8km race in Sydney in her memory. Allison ran this race last year, so we see it as very fitting that we should do the same.
I have been in training for some weeks now for this event which is coincidentally being held on my 63rd birthday. My goal is to run the distance in no more than 63 minutes. Your sponsorship would mean a great deal to our family.

Hi All
I'm walking 7.2km to raise money for breast cancer research with my Mum and some friends on May 9th for the Mothers Day Classic. I am almost at the end of my Radiotherapy and feeling good! Any new research can only be good for breast cancer survival rates so if you can, please sponsor us!!! Thankyou Love Nat xx
