Application for Authority to Fundraise Form and NBCF Community Fundraising Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in raising funds for the Mother’s Day Classic and breast cancer research. If you are planning on raising extra funds by hosting a fundraising event or activity, such as a bake-off, gold-coin donation or school event, then this is called community fundraising and you will need to fill in an Application for Authority to Fundraise - Mother’s Day Classic form and send it to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
We suggest you read the NBCF’s Community fundraising guidelines. This document offers information to help you with your fundraising activities as well as guidelines to ensure your activities comply with fundraising regulations and the NBCF’s values, and at the same time encouraging creativity and fun.
Then all you need to do is fill in the Application for Authority to Fundraise - Mother’s Day Classic form and send it to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. They will email you back with the authority to fundraise – it doesn’t take long and is worth it!

In 2011 Joanne from Karratha WA headed the Pluto Pink Panthers and raised over $19,000 through community fundraising.
"As soon as I read an email about the MDC in Karratha I knew It was an opportunity for me to do my part in raising money for breast cancer research.
"Who would have thought fundraising could be so much fun. The old fashioned way of holding morning teas, a lolly guessing competition and Bake offs were a great success but the biggest money raised came from standing in the rain with buckets in hand, getting coin donations from 5000 generous workers as they came through the site gates.
"Although I have not been affected by this disease, so many women have, and if we all play a small part in raising funds, they may one day find a cure. I will be involved again this year and I am hoping that the generous people of Karratha will get behind me in my effort to beat last years total."
