Taking part in this amazing event was a landmark experience for me in the middle of a very difficult year. I was half way through Chemotherapy treatment for Breast Cancer when I took part in the Mothers Day Classic in Perth. It was a huge physical challenge for me but the encouragement of my lovely friend walking with me, the wonderful atmosphere and inspirational tribute cards worn on the backs of others carried me all the way around Lake Monger. I am 44 years old and have 2 young children. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the end of 2009. I encourage everyone to take part and raise money for this great cause. My hope is that one day no one will have to go through what I have gone through.
