Here is a picture of me finishing the Parramatta Park Mother’s Day Classic for breast cancer research. I am 71 years old and this was a test of my recovery from a stroke 10 weeks before, as well as supporting a great cause and event.
The photo was taken by our Minister Reverend Veitinia Waqabaca of the Westmead Uniting Church who is part of the great welfare agency called Parramatta Mission, she ducked down with her camera and in fact made herself late in conducting the usual service at the church on the corner of Queens Road and Hawkesbury Road.
