Remembering mum

I decided to take part in the Mothers Day Classic walk with my 3 daughters this year to honor my beautiful mum who died just before Christmas 09. This will be our 1st Mothers Day without her and I wanted to do something positive to remember her. Mum was diagnosed with primary breast cancer in 2007, and after surgery and radio therapy and an iron will she won her fight...only to be diagnosed with primary pancreatic cancer the day after Mothers Day last year. This time the strongest person I have ever met did not win her fight...after 7 months of various treatment, at only 59 years old Gina Natalina passed away at her home with her 3 children and her own mother at her side. Mum had a whole life time ahead of her, she has left a void that cannot be filled.

I'm so pleased to be able to be involved with an event that not only drawn attention to breast cancer awareness but also gives people who are affected by this disease a focus on one of the most special day's of the year. We walked 8km, the girls were fantastic, their little legs trying so hard to keep up!!

We had a great time and I know mum would have been so proud of us all!! Luv u mum.
