I have taken part in the MDC since its inception in Adelaide in 2005. The 2010 MDC was important as I had recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of my diagnosis and therefore survival. Accompanying me each year have been my daughter, her partner and 3 children. We have gone from pushing a stroller for the youngest to him running the 4km this year in amazingly good time. We all plan to do the 2011 MDC together next year. This event has become even more important to me as 2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer again. And so my next journey with this disease starts.
