NSW - Sydney - The Bay Run
Where: Brett Park, Drummoyne
One of the most popular running routes in the city, or at least on its fringes, is the Iron Cove Bridge circuit, taking in Canada Bay and Iron Cove, with almost the entirety of the run being along the waters edge. The loop takes you past mangroves and parks as it circumnavigates a beautiful part of the harbour. The Mother's Day Classic (Leichhardt) Village is located in Brett Park.

To help reduce the risk of transmission of COVID 19 participants will be encouraged to physically distance. So, travel to and from the event by private vehicle is being strongly encouraged.
Parking available in surrounding streets with limited parking at different locations around the route. Please refer to local maps for specific details.
Buses 406, 437, 490 and train T2 have transport routes which pass near Bay Run. Please confirm availability and frequency via local public transport providers or apps. If public transport is used participants are reminded to adhere to the COVID safe rules at the time. This includes wearing a mask and socially distancing where possible.
The Check-in area
Look out for the pink Mother's Day Classic flags.
Toilets located at the Village start and finish points, and around the route at Neild Park, Rodd Point, Leichhardt Oval no 2 and King George Park.
On the day you'll be able to donate funds via the collection tins or electronically via the SMS donation number (0488 849 632)
First aid will be located at The Bay Run - Leichhardt arrival site near the existing toilet block and check in tables.
Food & drink
BYO water in reusable bottles, use any available water dispensers at the site, no water stations will be provided.
All dogs/pets must be on leads.

COVIDSafe statement: This event will be conducted in accordance with all COVIDSafe requirements and practices as determined by the state health department. A COVIDSafe checklist/plan has been completed for this event to ensure the safety of all participants.
While this year will look a little different, you’ll still be able to dress up, complete your walk/run, honour those touched by breast cancer and enjoy the community spirit on the day. All you need to do is bring along your race pack (which will be delivered to your door beforehand), arrive at your assigned time, use your phone to scan the QR code at your location and complete one or two laps of the course. Don’t forget to share your happy snaps and tag #mdc2021!
