EVENT INFORMATION

Where: Brisbane Botanical Gardens

Starting in the ideallic Brisbane City Botanical Gardens, the course winds along the Brisbane River with the 7km course crossing the iconic Story Bridge and 4km course crossing the Victoria Bridge.

When: Sunday 8th May

Distances: 4km & 7km

Wave Times: 7.00am: First runner wave, 8.00am: Survivor wave, 8.05am: First walker wave

Course information

Starting in the ideallic Brisbane City Botanical Gardens, the course winds along the Brisbane River with the 7km course crossing the iconic Story Bridge and 4km course crossing the Victoria Bridge.

Getting there and parking

Getting there
To help reduce the risk of transmission of COVID 19 participants will be encouraged to physically distance. So, travel to and from the event by private vehicle is being strongly encouraged.

Disabled access is available at each gate, except the Parliament House entrance. Disabled car parking is available just inside the Edward Street gate and behind The Gardens Club (entry via Gardens Point Road).

Parking
Parking available in surrounding streets with limited parking at different locations around the route. Please refer to local maps for specific details.

Public transport
Train: The City Botanic Gardens are only a 10 to 15 minute walk from the city centre and Central or Roma Street railway stations.

Bus / Ferry: The free Loop bus stops on Alice Street and George Street. CityCat and City Hopper terminals are located at the Riverside Centre on Eagle Street and at the CityCat terminal at QUT Gardens Point.

The Check-in area

On the day you'll be able to donate funds via the collection tins or electronically via the SMS donation number (0488 849 632)

First aid
All MDC Local Locations will have a qualified first aid officer on site. First aid tent is located adjacent to the check in zone.

Food & drink
BYO water in reusable bottles, use any available water dispensers at the site, no water stations will be provided.

Dogs
Unfortunately no dogs allowed
