EVENT INFORMATION
Where: Fishermans Lawn, Southport
Located just north of the bustling Surfers Paradise, escape to the Broadwater Parklands for a range of fun activities perfect for the whole family. Centrally located and spanning three kilometres along the beautiful Broadwater in Southport, the Parklands not only offer fantastic views of the Surfers Paradise skyline but also offer numerous wide-open spaces for enjoyment.

Warm ups commence 3 minutes before your start time
Stronger Together: If you have been touched by breast cancer, join a ‘Stronger Together’ time, when we will reflect on the strength of our MDC community (formerly named Survivor Wave).
Accessibility: Wheelchair and pram friendly.
Race Bib collection: Is available from the registration marquee in the event village.
- Saturday 12:00-3:00pm
- Sunday from 6.30am - 30minutes prior to wave time (closes at 7.45am)
Please allow ample time to collect your race bib before your start time.

Course information

Getting there and parking
Parking
Parking available in surrounding streets with limited parking at different locations around the route. Please refer to local maps for specific details.
Public transport
Buses 704, 719, 747 and light rail G:LINK have transport routes which pass near Broadwater Parklands. Please confirm availability and frequency via local public transport providers or apps. If public transport is used participants are reminded to adhere to the COVID safe rules at the time.

Look out for the pink Mother's Day Classic flags.
Bag drop
There will be a baggage storage area on site where you can leave your belongings from 6:30am on Sunday. Please do not leave any valuables in the storage area as we will not be responsible for goods lost or stolen
Toilets
Several toilet blocks are located throughout the park, including accessible toilets.
Fundraising
On the day you'll be able to donate funds via the collection tins or via the SMS donation number (simply text MDC to 0488 849 632).
First aid
First aid tent will be located within the event village.
Food & drink
BYO water in reusable bottle, plenty of food and drink options will be available from Nude Juice, The Brat Mobile and Mr Barista.
Dogs
Unfortunately no dogs allowed.
