VIC - Caroline Springs

We are delighted to announce a Mother's Day Classic Local Location at Caroline Springs!
Local locations will be smaller and more informal compared to traditional MDC events, but they will be big on community spirit!

Where: Lake Caroline Reserve, Cnr Caroline Springs Boulevard and The Esplande, Caroline Springs

When: Sunday 9th May

Participants start at Lake Caroline Reserve and complete two laps of the lake

The Lake is surrounded by public free parking and there is plenty of parking available at the Caroline Springs shopping complex 10 meters away from the Lake.

Public Transport
The buses 460 and 462 stop in front of the Caroline Springs Lake in front of the Caroline Springs Library (adjacent to the lake)

If public transport is used participants are reminded to adhere to the COVID safe rules at the time. This includes wearing a mask and socially distancing where possible.

The Check-in area
Look out for the pink Mother's Day Classic flags. Arrival/Check In Zone is in front of 'Slices Restaurant' at the Caroline Springs Boulevard end of the Lake.

Toilets can be found at Caroline Springs Shopping Centre across from the Lake.

On the day you'll be able to donate funds via the collection tins or electronically via the SMS donation number (0488 849 632). Raffle tickets $5 each and will be drawn at 10am.

First aid
All MDC Local Locations will have a qualified first aid officer on site. First aid will be located at the location event arrival site.

Food & drink
BYO water in reusable bottles, use any available water dispensers at the site, no water stations will be provided.
Please bring your own snacks and support your local food and beverage businesses on your way to the site and/or on your way home. Why not try Slices Restaurant and 'Red Beetle' cafe across from the Lake.

All dogs/pets must be on leads.

COVIDSafe statement: This event will be conducted in accordance with all COVIDSafe requirements and practices as determined by the state health department. A COVIDSafe checklist/plan has been completed for this event to ensure the safety of all participants.

MDC Local 

While this year will look a little different, you’ll still be able to dress up, complete your walk/run, honour those touched by breast cancer and enjoy the community spirit on the day. All you need to do is bring along your race pack (which will be delivered to your door beforehand), arrive at your assigned time, use your phone to scan the QR code at your location and complete one or two laps of the course. Don’t forget to share your happy snaps and tag #mdc2021!
