Where: Alexandra Gardens, Boathouse Drive, Melbourne
When: Sunday 14th May
Important Information: Melbourne Event timings
- Arrive via the Event Village (do not go straight to the Start Line).
- Please arrive in the Event Village 45 – 60 minutes before your Start Time.
- If you don’t have you race bib please head to the registration tent to pick up well ahead of your start time.
- You will be called to the “AIA All or Something” Warm Up Zone 30-45 minutes before your start time.

Bib Collection:
Participants can collect their race bib from the registration/collection tent.
- Friday 1:00pm- 4:00pm
- Saturday 12.00 - 3.00pm
- Sunday from 6.00am - 9:00am. Please allow ample time to collect your bib- warm up commences 30 minutes before your wave time.

Course information
Starting on Alexandra Avenue, the course will complete 1(4km), 2(8km) or 3(12km) laps around Melbourne’s the Tan track and finish within Alexandra Gardens.
Getting there, parking & road closures
Parking
Limited street parking is available around The Tan due to road closures. Paid parking sites are located around the Arts centre precinct.
Public transport
Train:
The closest train station to the event village is Flinders Street Station, disembark at Flinders Street Station and take the Swanston Street exit from the station and turn right. You can also alight at Richmond Station and walk-up Swan Street to the start line.
Cycling to the event
- Bicycle parking will be available on site. Please bring a lock. We cannot accept responsibility for bikes lost or stolen.
By Tram
- Tram Routes 1, 3/3a, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72 all travel down St. Kilda Road, disembark at the Federation Square/Swanston St stop and cross the road to Alexandra Gardens.
- Tram Routes 35, 70 and 75 travel down Swanston Street, disembark at the Swanston St and Flinders Street stop, cross over St Kilda Road and walk south towards Alexandra Gardens.

On the day facilities
The Check-in area
Look out for the pink Mother's Day Classic flags.
Bag drop - The Langham, Melbourne Cloak Room
There will be a baggage storage area on site where you can leave your belongings from 6:00am-12:00pm. Please do not leave any valuables in the storage area as we will not be responsible for goods lost or stolen.
Toilets
Toilets will be made available for use within the event village and around the course. Signage and information on toilet locations will be made available to participants, look out for directional signage or ask one of our friendly staff members for directions if required.
Fundraising
On the day you'll be able to donate funds via the collection tins or via the SMS donation number (simply text MDC to 0488 849 632).
First aid
First aid will be located within the event village
Food & drink
BYO water in reusable bottles, water stations will be located along the route for use.
Dogs
