We are delighted to announce a Mother's Day Classic Local Location in Richmond!
Local locations will be smaller and more informal compared to traditional MDC events, but they will be big on community spirit!

Where: Yarra Trail from O'Connell Reserve, Richmond (653-659 Bridge Rd opposite Melbourne Girls College)

Parking: Free parking available on Yarra Blvd (and limited $5 parking at Amora Hotel) 


Participants will depart from the Yarra Trail, O'Connell Reserve opposite the Amora Hotel and travel to St Kevin's College boat sheds and return.

Getting there
While the use of public transport is strongly encouraged, where COVID-19 restrictions continue to apply, to help reduce the risk of transmission of COVID 19, participants must physically distance.  In this case, travel to and from the event by foot or private vehicle is alternatively encouraged.

Parking is available on Yarra Blvd, Richmond or a limited number of spots are available within the Amora Hotel for $5.

Public transport
The 75 Tram, Stop 22 is directly outside the Amora Hotel.

The Check-in area
Arrival/check in zone will be in the near the rotunda in O’Connell Reserve. Look out for the pink Mother's Day Classic flags.

Toilet facilities are available within the lobby area of the Amora Hotel.

On the day you'll be able to donate funds via the collection tins or electronically via the SMS donation number (0488 849 632)

First aid
All MDC Local Locations will have a qualified first aid officer on site.

Food & drink
BYO water in reusable bottles, no water stations will be provided. 
The Amora Hotel are offering MDC participants a special coffee and morning tea option on their beautiful terrace overlooking O’Connell Reserve.  Stick around after your run to enjoy!

All dogs must be on leash.

Live music on the terrace at the Amora from 9am.  Listen out for the bag pipes at the turnaround point!

COVIDSafe statement: This event will be conducted in accordance with all COVIDSafe requirements and practices as determined by the state health department. A COVIDSafe checklist/plan has been completed for this event to ensure the safety of all participants.

MDC Local 

While this year will look a little different, you’ll still be able to dress up, complete your walk/run, honour those touched by breast cancer and enjoy the community spirit on the day. All you need to do is bring along your race pack (which will be delivered to your door beforehand), arrive at your assigned time, use your phone to scan the QR code at your location and complete one or two laps of the course. Don’t forget to share your happy snaps and tag #mdc2021!
