VIC - Traralgon-Toongabbie

We are delighted to announce a Mother's Day Classic Local Location at Traralgon and Toongabbie!
Local locations will be smaller and more informal compared to traditional MDC events, but they will be big on community spirit!

Where: Burnets Road and Toongabbie Fire Station

When: Sunday 9th May

Distances: 6km Traralgon to Glengarry & 9km Toongabbie to Glengarry

Timing:

Startng point; Burnets Road, Traralgon | Finish point; Old Railway station, Glengarry

Course Route: via the Gippsland Plains Rail Trail—6km

The Check-in area
Look out for the pink Mother's Day Classic flags two sites, one at CFA Station, Toongabbie and the other at Burnets Road, Traralgon both finish at Old Railway Station, Glengarry.

Toilets
Toilets located along course.

Fundraising 
On the day you'll be able to donate funds via the collection tins or electronically via the SMS donation number (0488 849 632)

First aid
All MDC Local Locations will have a qualified first aid officer on site. First aid will be located at the location event finish site.

Food & drink
BYO water in reusable bottles, use any available water dispensers at the site, no water stations will be provided.
Please bring your own snacks and support your local food and beverage businesses on your way to the site and/or on your way home.

A BBQ will be provided by the local Lions club for a donation.

Dogs
All dogs/pets must be on leads.

COVIDSafe statement: This event will be conducted in accordance with all COVIDSafe requirements and practices as determined by the state health department. A COVIDSafe checklist/plan has been completed for this event to ensure the safety of all participants.

MDC Local 

While this year will look a little different, you’ll still be able to dress up, complete your walk/run, honour those touched by breast cancer and enjoy the community spirit on the day. All you need to do is bring along your race pack (which will be delivered to your door beforehand), arrive at your assigned time, use your phone to scan the QR code at your location and complete one or two laps of the course. Don’t forget to share your happy snaps and tag #mdc2021!
