WA - Perth - JH Abrahams Reserve

We are delighted to announce a Mother's Day Classic Local Location at JH Abrahams Reserve, Perth!
Local locations will be smaller and more informal compared to traditional MDC events, but they will be big on community spirit!

Where: JH Abrahams Reserve, Crawley

A popular picnicking and recreation location right on the shores of the Swan River, JH Abrahams Reserve has extensive grassed and shade areas with play equipment and picnic facilities. Also known as Pelican Point, the reserve is a popular off-lead dog exercise area and is a focal point for recreational activities on the outskirts of the City. With an abundance of space and million dollar views, JH Abrahams Reserve is a hidden gem.

Getting there
To help reduce the risk of transmission of COVID 19 participants will be encouraged to physically distance. So, travel to and from the event by private vehicle is being strongly encouraged.

On-street or outdoor paid parking is available. Please refer to local maps for specific details.

Public transport
Transperth Bus Stop within 750m. If public transport is used participants are reminded to adhere to the COVID safe rules at the time. This includes wearing a mask and socially distancing where possible.

The Check-in area
Look out for the pink Mother's Day Classic flags.

Toilet located adjacent to the playground which is close to the route start and finish points.

On the day you'll be able to donate funds via the collection tins or electronically via the SMS donation number (0488 849 632)

First aid
All MDC Local Locations will have a qualified first aid officer on site. First aid tent is located adjacent to the check in zone.

Food & drink
BYO water in reusable bottles, use any available water dispensers at the site, no water stations will be provided. Please bring your own snacks and support your local food and beverage businesses on your way to the site and/or on your way home.

All dogs/pets must be on leads, except in the approved off-leash dog exercise area.

COVIDSafe statement: This event will be conducted in accordance with all COVIDSafe requirements and practices as determined by the state health department. A COVIDSafe checklist/plan has been completed for this event to ensure the safety of all participants.

MDC Local 

While this year will look a little different, you’ll still be able to dress up, complete your walk/run, honour those touched by breast cancer and enjoy the community spirit on the day. All you need to do is bring along your race pack (which will be delivered to your door beforehand), arrive at your assigned time, use your phone to scan the QR code at your location and complete one or two laps of the course. Don’t forget to share your happy snaps and tag #mdc2021!
