SUPPORTING Breast and Ovarian Cancer Research

Support my efforts in the 2025 Mother's Day Classic!

This Mother’s Day, I’m walking to save lives – and to mark a deeply personal anniversary.

On 13 May 2024, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Grade 1 invasive ductal carcinoma — just five months after being given a perfect bill of health. The diagnosis shook my world.

I have dense breast tissue, which makes detection much more difficult. If not for a biopsy, my cancer might have gone undetected. It was hormone-driven (oestrogen dominant), and thankfully HER2 negative. There was no lump — just cells that had quietly changed. So I count myself lucky. After surgery and radiation, I’m now cancer-free and embracing a renewed joy in life.

This Sunday, 11 May, I’ll be taking part in my first Mother’s Day Classic — raising vital funds and awareness for breast and ovarian cancer research.

Over the past year, I’ve met many women — friends and friends-of-friends — who’ve faced similar diagnoses. I want to raise awareness about dense breast tissue and the reality that cancer doesn’t discriminate. It can affect anyone.

Every day in Australia, 63 people are diagnosed with breast or ovarian cancer — and 12 lives are lost.

💗 I’ll be walking alongside my amazing mum, making this a Mother’s Day we’ll never forget — a day to celebrate life and survival after an incredibly tough year.

Please consider making a donation to support this vital cause. There’s only one way to stop breast and ovarian cancers — and that’s together.

Thank you so much for your support.
