Women in Super are the proud creators and organisers of the Mother’s Day Classic. In 1998 Women in Super (WIS) founder, Mavis Robertson, returned from a trip to the overseas with the seed of an idea; she felt there was no point in advocating for women’s retirement outcomes if they were dying prematurely from breast cancer. Women in Super determined that breast cancer research would be of the greatest assistance for their fund members and the Mother’s Day Classic (MDC) was born.
