Marketing and Social Media Specialist
Full Time or 4-5 days per week | Cremorne (Hybrid)

The Mother’s Day Classic Foundation is looking for a creative and organised Marketing & Social Media Specialist to help grow participation and fundraising for our iconic national event supporting breast and ovarian cancer research.You’ll coordinate marketing activity across social media, email, website, PR, and ambassador programs—creating content, driving engagement, and supporting a community of passionate participants and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Write content for emails, website, and campaign promotions
  • Support MDC media launch and fundraising campaigns
Experience Required:
  • Minimum 3-5+ years experience in a marketing, communications or social media role
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Meta Business Suite, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Proven content creation and copywriting skills
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and scheduling platforms
  • Excellent project management and coordination abilities
  • Previous experience in the not-for-profit or events sector (desirable)

Community Engagement & Volunteer Programs Coordinator

Part-time (3 days/week) | $75K p.a. incl. super (pro rata) | Cremorne (Hybrid)

Join the team behind one of Australia’s most loved events the Mother’s Day Classic, raising funds for breast and ovarian cancer research. We’re looking for a highly organised, people-focused professional to deliver our national volunteer program and strengthen connections with our incredible community.

Your Impact
You’ll lead the planning, recruitment, and engagement of thousands of volunteers nationwide, working closely with committees, ambassadors, and event managers to make the Mother’s Day Classic an unforgettable experience for participants and supporters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver the annual volunteer program plan.
  • Design targeted recruitment campaigns and onboarding processes.
  • Build and maintain volunteer communications, training, and recognition programs.
  • Support and grow our Community Ambassador and Local Host programs.
  • Provide on-the-day volunteer leadership for events (including on site in Melbourne).
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience in volunteer, event, or community program coordination.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • High attention to detail, with confidence using CRM/volunteer management systems.
  • Experience using volunteer platforms (Rosterfy experience highly regarded)
  • A passion for community building and making a difference.
