SUPPORTING Breast and Ovarian Cancer Research
Support my efforts in the 2025 Mother's Day Classic!
Im stepping Up for a Cause That Hits Close to Home - In may I’m taking part in the Mother’s Day Classic—not just to challenge myself with a 4km run (which is a big deal since I’m more of a long distance walker these days!), but to raise funds for breast cancer research.
Breast cancer has touched the lives of so many, including my dear friend Sam Hubble. When she was just 27, with a young daughter, Sam was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer—with no recorded family history.
She bravely faced chemotherapy and a year of Herceptin. Later on after having her 2nd child, fluctuating cancer markers raised fears of recurrence. Thankfully, she came through, and today years on, she’s now thriving! ⭐️
I remember saying I’d shave my head in support, but thanks to generous donations from all our friends, Sam was able to access cold cap therapy—helping her keep 40% of her hair through treatment. That experience showed me the real impact of our friendship circle support.
Now, I’m asking for your help. If you can, please consider donating to this incredible cause: https://www.mothersdayclassic.com.au/s/202167/291421. Every dollar makes a difference in funding this life-saving cancer research.
Let’s walk, run, and fight for a future free from breast cancer. 💕🏃♀️
