Support our efforts in the 2025 Mother's Day Classic!
On Sunday (11th May) I'll be doing a 4km run with Jacob, who asked me recently if I'd like to do the Mother's Day Classic with him.
A 4km run isn't challenging for many, but I haven't attempted a 'proper' run since secondary school days (40+ years), and with only a week to fit in a couple of practice runs, the most sensible event for me was either this one or one of the walks.
Of course, the Mother's Day Classic is about something far more important than how my legs will cope.
It's about raising awareness and funds for breast and ovarian cancer research.
Sadly, I do have friends and family who have been or are being burdened by cancer, including breast cancer.
