“I’m sorry it’s breast cancer”
A year ago (8 April 2024) I was told what no one wants to hear “I’m sorry it’s breast cancer”.
After 3 surgeries, 16 rounds of chemotherapy, 25 rounds of radiotherapy, countless appointments with my multidisciplinary team (oncologist, surgeons, physiotherapist,) I can say I’m finally starting to feel like myself again (almost).
I’m participating in Mother’s Day Classic 2025 to support all women who have been in the same situation as me and for all those that unfortunately will have to go through this. My prayer is that we can raise money to support the efforts of researchers who through clinical trials discover important medications that reduce cancer reoccurrence. I’m personally on these life saving medications for the next 5-10 years and hope that one day researchers will find a cure.
