Administration Team Assistant 

6 month fixed term position – starting January 2019

The Women in Super Mother’s Day Classic (MDC) is a national participation event held on Mother’s Day, attracting over 100,000 attendees each year. Established in 1998 and organised by the MDC Foundation (MDCF), its purpose is to raise funds for breast cancer research, to increase awareness of breast cancer within the community and to support and remember those affected by breast cancer.  All proceeds from the event are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) and to date over $35m has been raised for breast cancer research.

Based in the Melbourne CBD, MDCF is currently seeking a passionate and talented individual to fill the role of Administration Team Assistant reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. This is a great opportunity for a motivated person to learn more within the events industry and to have impact for a significant cause as part of our small close-knit team.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide administration support to a range of areas within the organisation including event operations, sponsorship and fundraising as well as administrative support to the executive team.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a passion for events with experience in administration and customer service; with demonstrable experience in coordinating logistical requirements and support to a range of stakeholders.

The successful applicant will have excellent administration and time management skills, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. You will have a good knowledge or experience in working with data management or CRM systems and previous event management experience is desirable.
