Kevin O’Sullivan – Classic Fundraising Legend

23 Oct 2018

Congratulations to Kevin O’Sullivan whose incredible efforts have placed him in the Mother’s Day Classic Fundraising Legends. Classic Legends are exceptional fundraisers who have raised over $100,000 for breast cancer research.

Kevin has worked in the Australian superannuation industry since moving to Melbourne in 1990, for many years as an actuarial consultant and since mid-2013 as the CEO of UniSuper. He participated in his first Mother’s Day Classic after hearing about it through word of mouth at work.

“I was relatively fit at the time as I was playing soccer for Melbourne University, and I figured I could easily complete the 8km run and contribute towards a great cause.” says Kevin. “I probably wouldn’t have begun fundraising without my wife Jude’s encouragement so Jude should get a lot of credit for all of the kind donations I’ve received from friends and work colleagues over the years. In fact, some friends have donated in all of the years that I’ve participated.”

“I know many people who’ve been affected by breast cancer and I’ve been keen to help raise funds for research to combat and hopefully eliminate this disease. I’ve now run the 8 km course at 15 MDC events and I hope to be able to continue to participate for many more years – and raise even more money for the cause!”

Thank you Kevin for your continued support and your efforts in fundraising for vital breast cancer research. See you at MDC2019!
