If you wish to make an exchange, please contact shop@mothersdayclassic.com.au for further information.  The purchaser will be responsible for any postage costs associated with exchanges where available (except for faulty items).

DASHBOARD

How do I track my kilometres and training?

Follow these steps to track your training on your page via a fitness app:

  1. Download the FitbitStrava or MapMyFitness app and set up your account
  2. Log in to your Mother’s Day Classic account.
  3. Under the heading ‘Connect your preferred Fitness app’, click your chosen app.
  4. Follow the prompts to connect your account
  5. When you next work out, select ‘start your workout’ in the app on your phone. Once you end your workout, save your workout and your distance will be published to the tally on your page the following day.

If you have synced your app already but it is not working, please log in and re-connect it.

When using Fitbit, you must ‘start’ an activity and save it. Your daily steps will not automatically add to your page. If you are having issues, try syncing through BOTH your Fitbit and the Fitbit app on your smartphone.

When using MapMyFitness, you must ‘start’ your workout, ‘stop’ your workout and then ‘SAVE’ your workout.

Your tally will be updated each day with the previous day’s distances.

Remember, you can manually add your kilometres to the tally in your My Fitness Activity tab of your profile after registering. This is a great option if you’re using a pedometer or a different method of tracking your distances.

Follow these steps to manually add your KMs:

  1. Log in to your account and select ‘My Fitness Activity’
  2. Under ‘Add activity’, enter the date and distance
  3. The number of KMs will now appear on your fundraising page!

How do I invite a friend?

On your dashboard, head on over to “Invite a friend” and input their details. It’s that easy!

DONATIONS AND FUNDRAISING

How do I view my donations?

To view your donations, you will need to log into your account and visit the ‘My Donations’ tab on the navigation menu or from the top right hand corner menu bar where you see your name. Here you will be able to view your donors and thank them for supporting you. You will also be able to add an ‘offline donation’ if you have collected cash donations that you would like to be displayed on your page.  Simply email fundraising@mothersdayclassic.com.au for more details.

Where does my registration fee go?

The Mother’s Day Classic raises life-saving funds through community fundraising, online fundraising, donations and registration fees. Once event and administration costs have been deducted, proceeds are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to fund life-changing research. MDCF endeavours to keep costs low so as much as possible can be donated. We rely on sponsorship, in-kind support and volunteers in order to help subsidise these costs so we can maximise our donation to research. To date, the Mother’s Day Classic has donated $39.95 million dollars to the NBCF.

For more information, head to our Where your money goes page

How do I use my fundraising page?

Putting together your fundraising page takes just a few minutes. On this page, you’ll be able to include details on why you’re fundraising for Mother’s Day Classic, and keep track of your donations to see how close you are to accomplishing your fundraising goals! Don’t forget to upload a profile picture and make use of the “gallery” option to add additional photos if you wish.

What’s the best way to increase my donations?

The best way to garner donations is to spread the word! Share your fundraising page with everyone you know - friends, family, colleagues, acquaintances. They’d love to support you! Don’t forget to personalise your fundraising page and let everyone know why you’re passionate about raising funds for breast cancer research.

We also have a wealth of resources at your disposal – we have social media tiles for you to share (don’t forget to use #mdc2022 while you’re at it!) as well as pre-written email templates for you to send out to ask for donations, which you are able to personalise as you see fit.

If you would like to host a fundraiser, check out our fundraising page for some ideas!

What’s on my dashboard?

On your dashboard, you’ll find everything you need to help get you started on your fundraising journey. In “Resources”, you’ll find posters, social media tiles, fundraising ideas and more to help you spread the word within your networks and local communities. Ask for donations via our “Get Support” tab and keep track of your online and offline donations in “My Donations”. You can also stay on top of your fitness activity (“My Fitness Activity” tab), invite a friend to join you, and check out the latest MDC competitions – we’ve got some great prizes in store for you!

When making an online donation to an individual or team, why have I been charged an additional 5% of my donation amount?

This extra 5% fee helps MDC cover our costs (such as platform fees, banking and credit card fees, administration costs and so forth), meaning that more money can go directly to breast cancer research. If you do not wish to cover this fee, simply uncheck the box when entering your credit/debit card details.
