Support our efforts in the 2024 Mother’s Day Classic!

On Sunday 12 May, I'm putting my foot down to save lives.

I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in May 2023. At the time I was a seemingly healthy, busy mum of two young boys (aged 3 and 6).

Despite following my intuition, my diagnosis came as a complete shock given my age, I never imagined this could happen at my life stage. I am grateful I was proactive and want to spread the importance of listening to your body - prioritising your own health.

The last year has been an emotional and physically taxing rollercoaster ride but feeling lucky the incredible treatment has worked. I’m nearly at the end of the health marathon, In May, I will have completed 12 months of treatment including 16 rounds of chemo, surgery, followed by 5 weeks of daily radiation and ongoing immunotherapy. I finish treatment 3 days before this year’s Mother’s Day Classic and will proudly be lacing up my shoes to walk with all my family on 12 May, the day I was diagnosed a year earlier.... Together we’re taking one step forward for women’s cancer research.

Tragically, 12 Australians lose their lives to these awful diseases every day. 

I’m joining the Mother’s Day Classic to help raise funds and awareness to fight breast and ovarian cancers.
