SUPPORTING Breast and Ovarian Cancer Research
On Sunday 10 May, I'm putting my foot down to save lives.
This Mother’s Day, I’m taking on the challenge of running a half marathon as part of the Mother’s Day Classic, something that means so much more to me than just crossing a finish line.
As a student nurse and midwife, I’ve had the privilege of caring for women and families during some of the most vulnerable and powerful moments of their lives. I’ve seen firsthand the impact that illness can have, not just on individuals, but on entire families and communities. Breast and ovarian cancer are diseases that touch so many lives, and the strength shown by those affected is something that stays with me every day.
This run is deeply personal. It’s for the mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends who have faced these cancers. It’s for those currently fighting, those we’ve lost, and those who may face this journey in the future. And it’s for the hope that ongoing research can lead to earlier detection, better treatments, and better quality of life.
By supporting my fundraising, you’re contributing to life-changing research that gives families more time, more memories, and more hope. Every donation, big or small, truly makes a difference.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me, it means more than words can say.
