Walking for my sister in the Mother’s Day Classic

I’m joining the Mother’s Day Classic to help raise funds and awareness to fight breast and ovarian cancers.

Mostly though, I’m doing it to support my sister who was diagnosed early last year with breast cancer. She’s been though countless appointments, chemotherapy sessions, procedures and surgeries all while being there for her 3 boys, husband and all of her friends and family. She’s simply incredible.

Tragically, every day in Australia 63 people diagnosed and 12 lose their lives to breast or ovarian cancer.

The Mother’s Day Classic is Australia’s most inspirational, cause-driven community event. Every year, thousands of Australians come together on Mother’s Day to start their Mother’s Day with purpose. Our aim is to unite and inspire the community, create a fun and engaging event experience, to celebrate and remember those touched by breast and ovarian cancer and to raise life-saving funds for research.
