Embrace & Honour: In the Embrace & Honour walks participants will be invited to observe a minute of silence at the start line to embrace and honour those touched by breast or ovarian cancer.

Bag Drop: There will be a baggage storage area onsite where you can leave your belongings. Please do not leave any valuables in the storage area as we cannot be responsible for goods lost or stolen.

Course Information

Starting at Rond Terrace, the course will cross at King
s Avenue Bridge, and then across Commonwealth Avenue Bridge completing the loop back to Rond Terrace. 

There are no water stations available on course. Participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles or hydration packs. Water refill locations are available on course and in the event village. Please refer to the course map for locations. 

Getting There & Parking

Getting there 
Rond Terrace is situated at the southern end of Anzac Parade on the northern foreshore of Lake Burley Griffin's Central Basin, adjoining Commonwealth Park and Kings Park. 

Parking 
Parking is available in surrounding streets with limited parking at different locations around the route. Vehicles that are parked outside the designated parking areas and in No Parking zones will be issued with infringement notices for breaching the Open Areas Parking Rule (2014). Please refer to local maps for specific details. 

Accessible Parking 
Available at Rond Terrace. 

Public transport 
Buses 10, 3, 56 and 59 have transport routes which pass near Rond Terrace. Please confirm availability and frequency via local public transport providers or apps.

Event Village

The Event Village will be open from 7:00am - 12:00pm on Sunday 11th May. 

Accessibility

The course is wheelchair and pram friendly. 
 
The event village has grassed areas. Please refer to maps for further information regarding village accessibility. 

Entertainment and Kids Zone

The main stage will feature a DJ to keep you hyped throughout the morning, and there are plenty acts on-course to keep you entertained on your run/walk. These include the Jazzy Jumpers, African drummers, some bagpipes, a keyboard, and a choir!

AIA Australia is proud to bring the local DJ to the Canberra event. Don't forget to stop by and have a sing or dance!

The Kids Zone will feature games, face painting, and a Mother's Day card making and drawing station so you can create something special for your loved ones. There will also be a Teddy Bear hunt, so keep an eye out on the day!

Food & Beverage

Lions Club Belconnen will be running a Community BBQ in the Event Village. 

More food options will be confirmed closer to the event.

BYO water in reusable bottles. Water stations are available at the check in area. Public refill stations and water bubblers are available around the course.

Reminder: there will be no MDC drink stations on the course.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome at the event, but they must remain on a lead at all times.
Please keep in mind that large crowds and loud noises can be stressful for some dogs, so we recommend taking precautions to ensure your pet's comfort and safety and bring enough water for your dog throughout the day.
