My first Mother’s Day Classic was in 2025, just five months after I lost my dearest mum to ovarian cancer. That morning, I arrived to a sea of pink under a bright sun. In that moment, my sadness softened—I realised I wasn’t alone. All around me were people who had also lost someone they loved: a mum, a grandma, a wife, a sister, a daughter.
The grief slowly, quietly shifted into something else—hope. I believe that together, we can, and we will, make a difference.
And somewhere beyond the rainbow, among the stars, I know my mum would be proud. ✨
