I’m joining the Mother’s Day Classic to help raise funds and awareness to fight ovarian cancer.
Ovarian cancer continues to be one of the most lethal and least understood cancers affecting women and girls. The statistics are staggering. Approximately 1815 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer annually, and 1000 lives are lost to ovarian cancer each year. Due to the vagueness of symptoms and lack of an early detection test, around 70% of cases are diagnosed when the cancer is in the advanced stages, already spread to other parts of the body.
The Mother’s Day Classic, is working to improve early detection, develop better treatments, and help those impacted by ovarian cancer live longer, healthier lives.
