SUPPORTING Breast and Ovarian Cancer Research

On Sunday 10 May, support the Port Macquarie event to help save lives.

I'm proudly the Event Manager (volunteer role) of the local Mother's Day Classic in Port Macquarie. This is my 9th year organising the event locally, and the 12th year the MDC has been offered on the Mid North Coast.

What began as an interest to keep me busy while I was freelancing, has turned into a tradition and commitment each year.

The event raises funds and awareness to fight breast and ovarian cancers.

Tragically, every day in Australia 63 people diagnosed and 12 lose their lives to breast or ovarian cancer. One of my closest friends, Cath, was one of those people. From diagnosis to her passing, it was just 10 months.

I’m asking you to do more than just stand with me but to support me as I lead our local event and encourage everyone to walk, run, and move till we’re done.
