SUPPORTING Breast and Ovarian Cancer Research
On Sunday 10 May, I'm putting my foot down to save lives.
I’m joining the Mother’s Day Classic Half Marathon to help raise funds and awareness to fight breast and ovarian cancers.
This will be my first half marathon, and a big challenge. I’m quite new to the long distance running life, so this is pushing me well and truly out of my comfort zone.
Importantly, this challenge will be for a very worthy cause.
Tragically, every day in Australia 63 people are diagnosed and 12 lose their lives to breast or ovarian cancer. Too many lives are impacted by this cruel disease.
This half marathon raises money for two worthy causes — National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation — that are funding world-class research focused on saving women’s lives.
I’d be grateful for any amount that you can donate towards supporting those impacted by cancer.
Thank you for your support 💕
