SUPPORTING Breast and Ovarian Cancer Research
On Sunday 10 May, I'm putting my foot down to save lives.
This year we’re joining the Mother’s Day Classic to help raise funds and awareness in the fight against breast and ovarian cancer.
For our team, this cause is incredibly personal. One of the mums walking with us, our beautiful friend Jess, was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago. As a mum of three young kids, it was an incredibly tough and emotional battle for her and her family. Thankfully, Jess fought through it with strength but the experience is something no family should have to go through.
Another friend in our group, Anna, sadly lost her mum to ovarian cancer a few years ago. The impact of that loss is something she’ll continue to carry and so we walk in her memory and in memory of all others affected.
Because of stories like these, we’re coming together as partners, parents and friends to walk in support of everyone who has been affected by breast or ovarian cancer.
Tragically, every day in Australia 63 people are diagnosed and 12 lose their lives to breast or ovarian cancer.
We’re asking you not just to stand with us, but to support us as we walk, run and move until we’re done.
Please consider making a donation to support our challenge and help fund life-saving research and support services.
There’s only one way to stop breast and ovarian cancers - together.
Thank you so much for your support.
