SUPPORTING Breast Cancer Research
On Sunday 10 May, I'm putting my foot down to save lives.
This Mother’s Day, our family & friends are walking in the Mother’s Day Classic in honour of our beautiful mum, Robyn — our Nan, our best friend, and the heart of our family.
Mum was first diagnosed with breast cancer and fought it with incredible strength and courage. After beating breast cancer, she was then diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Time and time again, she defied the odds, achieved remission many times, and even underwent a bone marrow transplant with the determination to keep fighting.
We miss her every single day, and we couldn’t think of a more meaningful way to spend Mother’s Day than walking in her memory and for every family impacted by breast and ovarian cancer.
Our team name is “Robyn’s Sunshine Squad” because Mum was always singing “You Are My Sunshine” to all of us — a little reminder of the love, warmth and joy she brought everywhere she went.
Every day in Australia, 63 people are diagnosed and 12 lose their lives to breast or ovarian cancer. We’re walking to help raise funds and awareness so more families can have hope, support and precious time together.
If you would like to support our team, please consider making a donation. Every contribution, big or small, helps make a difference.
There’s only one way to stop breast and ovarian cancers — together.
Thank you so much for your support 💕
