SUPPORTING Ovarian Cancer Research
This Mother's Day I'm running in memory of my Mum and raising funds for vital research into ovarian cancer.
Tragically, every day in Australia 63 people diagnosed and 12 lose their lives to breast or ovarian cancer. Mum sadly was one of those people.
Ovarian cancer research is also tragically underfunded, with less than 1% of Australian government research funding being directed to what is the most lethal form of gynaecological cancer.
I know life is expensive, but if you have an extra couple of dollars, it will be going to a good cause.
A reminder to all women, and those that love them, to be aware of the signs of ovarian cancer, as they can often be missed.
