Every day in Australia, 9 people lose their lives to breast cancer. It touches our besties, mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, aunties, friends and the people we love most.
Many of you know I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 with no family history. That moment changed my life and gave me a mission. I made a promise to Catherine that I would do everything I could to raise awareness and vital funds so that by the time she turns 25 in 2030, we are closer to a world with zero deaths from breast cancer.
For the past 13 years Iāve proudly been aĀ Community Ambassador for the Motherās Day Classic. Every Motherās Day, the Murdoch's lace up our shoes and pound the pavement to honour that promise.
My cancer was found by ultrasound, not a mammogram, which is why Iām also passionate about educating women to include ultrasound in their regular breast checks.
Breast cancer started with me in our family, and I want it to finish with me.
I made a promise to my daughty that I would do everything I could to help end deaths from breast cancer. If youāre able to support me in keeping that promise, I would be incredibly grateful.
