I'm sorry. I'm also running and raising money.
You may all call me a turncoat, because I too am approaching 30 and am doing a half marathon. For that I can only apologise. It’s too expensive to smoke in Australia, so I’ve gone cold turkey and turned to running in order to undo years of damage (please don’t explain that’s not how it works).
I’ve decided to run the Mother’s Day Classic Half Marathon in Melbourne, as I know far too many people who are sadly no longer able to spend Mother’s Day with their mums because of cancer.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated, even just the price of a £7 pint (which is $14 here so it’s double your money!) All donations will be split equally in aid of stopping breast and ovarian cancer. If we all chip in the price of a pint, then hopefully we can stop this horrible disease.
Together the Mother’s Day Classic community has donated...
$48.23 million
Since 1998 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
$2.57 million
Since 2024 to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation
