Built on legacy. Built for the future.

26 Mar 2026

Traditions last because they’re built on something real. The Mother’s Day Classic is one of them.

CBUS has been part of that story from the very beginning. The event was co‑founded in 1998 by Mavis Robertson AM, CBUS’ inaugural Fund Secretary – a pioneer whose legacy connects both organisations.

What started as a shared vision to support those in need has grown into a national movement. Today, the Mother’s Day Classic brings people together to honour, support and remember those affected by breast and ovarian cancer, while raising vital funds for life‑saving research.

This year, CBUS is showing up with our new brand promise, Build your something.  We know that when building towards something meaningful, the right support along the way makes all the difference.

That’s what the Mother’s Day Classic is about. Step by step, year after year, people come together to build progress for women’s health. CBUS is proud to stand with the event and the legacy we share. Because when we support those in need, we build something bigger than ourselves – a stronger future for generations to come.

On race day, we want to make that purpose personal.

So when you see CBUS, come say hello. Take a moment. Build a message for the person you’re running for – a thank you, a tribute, a promise or a note of support. Then carry it with you through the day and beyond.

Because building isn’t just about what you create. It’s about who you build it for and the future you want to help shape.

What are you building towards? Let’s build your something together.
