Mother’s Day Classic Foundation appoints three new Board directors
Mother’s Day Classic Foundation is pleased to announce the appointments of Thomay Gatis, Robert Pickering and Stephen Reilly to the MDC Foundation Board.
MDCF Chair, Louise Davidson, said the three new board members brought an impressive range of skills and experience to the Board, including experience in marketing, data analysis, digital technology and fund raising.
“MDCF is delighted to welcome Thomay, Robert and Stephen to the board and we look forward to working with them in helping drive the ongoing success of the Mother’s Day Classic,” Ms Davidson said.
The Mother’s Day Classic Foundation is the single largest donor to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Established in 1998 by the networking and advocacy body Women in Super, the MDC has raised more than $30 million, with events now held in 87 locations around Australia.
Each year the event is widely supported by the super industry, more than 1500 volunteers as well as other stakeholders including major sponsor ME.
About the directors:
Thomas Gatis – Customer Relationship Manager at NGS Super – has worked in in the superannuation industry for over 20 years in retail, public-sector and industry super funds. During this time, she served for more than a decade in a voluntary capacity as Chair of Women in Super (SA) and oversaw the development of the MDC event in South Australia.
Robert Pickering – Head of Technology and Digital Transformation at Cbus Super – has more than 15 years of senior IT management experience in large public and private companies both nationally and internationally across industries as diverse as financial services, education, digital, manufacturing and technology.
Stephen Reilly – Chief Operating Officer at HESTA – has more than 20 years’ experience working as management consultant and executive manager, driving strategy across the banking, wealth management and superannuation sector.
