On Sunday 11 May, I'm putting my foot down to save lives.
I’m joining the Mother’s Day Classic 5K run, to help raise funds and awareness to fight breast and ovarian cancers.
Tragically, every day in Australia 63 people diagnosed and 12 lose their lives to breast or ovarian cancer.
On the 3rd November 2022, I also became one of those statistics - I was told I had stage 3 Breast Cancer. My life literally changed overnight; surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and endocrine therapy followed. I have an amazing medical team and the most supportive family. My treatment is ongoing, but I feel confident that I will stay well and cancer free - I have been given a second chance, but not everyone is as lucky as me.
