This Mother’s Day, I’m taking part in the Mother’s Day Classic to raise vital funds and awareness in the fight against ovarian cancer — and to help save lives.
I’m putting my foot down for the women we hold dear — in loving memory of my amazing and beautiful mum — and for the three women in Australia who lose their lives to ovarian cancer every single day.
There is currently no early detection test for ovarian cancer, and treatment options have seen little improvement over the past three decades. It remains the most lethal reproductive cancer, with a five-year survival rate of just 49%. But every dollar raised for critical, life-saving research brings us one step closer to our goal of zero deaths from this devastating disease.
