Course information

Start at Moraby Park beside the Dogwood Creek, complete one loop of the Moraby Park walking track, continue over the walking bridge to run along the Dogwood Creek walking track to Chinaman’s Lagoon and up to Waterworks Road where there will be a turnaround point.

Return along the Dogwood Creek walking track to Moraby Park to return to the starting point (2 x for the 8km).

Getting there & parking

Getting there by road

If travelling East on Warrego Highway (from Roma side) turn left off the highway into the rest area before the R.J. Simmonds Bridge (before entering into town). If travelling West on Warrego Highway (from Chinchilla side) continue through the town of Miles and turn right into the rest area after the R.J. Simmonds Bridge crosses the Dogwood Creek.

Ample parking is available at Moraby Park, or alternatively on the opposite side of the highway where there is access and parking to accommodate caravans and campers.

Getting there on foot

Moraby park is within walking distance from motels on the western end of town by walking along Murilla Street, turning right onto Tully Street then down along the footpath towards the creek, over the footbridge and along the path to the start area.

Further information
Public toilets available at Moraby Park. A number of park benches and a pergola available. Plenty of shade from large gum trees. Caravan area on opposite side of highway.

The Check-in area
Look out for the pink Mother's Day Classic flag.

Fundraising 
On the day you'll be able to donate funds via the collection tins or via the SMS donation number (simply text MDC 0488 849 632).

First aid
All MDC Local event will have a qualified first aid officer on site. First aid will be located at the location event arrival site.

Food & drink
BYO water in reusable bottle. 

Dogs
All dogs/pets must be on leads.

Accessibility
Wheelchair and pram friendly.

7:00am - Event commences with coffee, raffle tickets and on the day registrations available 
7.30am - Welcome
7.35am - Stretching and warm up
7.45am - Runner start
8:00am - Walkers start
