I’m joining the Mother’s Day Classic to help raise funds and awareness to fight breast and ovarian cancers.
In Australia, breast cancer is now the most common cancer in women, with over 19,800 new cases annually. While survival rates are high, ovarian cancer remains far more fatal, with a five-year survival rate of just 49%.
These aren't just statistics, they represent mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends. Everyone needs a support system when dealing with something this devastating. I believe that by funding research, we can support those who need it most and save lives.
This is my third year walking for this cause, and it means so much to me knowing that these little acts we do could be saving lives. I’m asking you to do more than just stand with me, but to support me as I walk for the people who do so much for our communities.
