MDCF will collect your personal information from you when you complete a registration of interest to volunteer; make a donation; complete an Authority to Fundraise; register as a participant; and/or register your interest for future events. If we do not collect your personal information we may not be able to provide our services and products to you or accept your registration of interest to volunteer; donation; Authority to Fundraise; registration as a participant; and/or registration of interest for future events.
Purposes of collection
We collect your personal information for the purposes of your registration of interest to volunteer; donation to MDCF; completion of an Authority to Fundraise; registration as a participant; registration of interest for future events; and otherwise as set out in our Privacy Policy.
Disclosures
We may disclose your personal information to Supplier Organisations* and other third parties such as:
- our suppliers (such as web hosting providers, systems administrators and mailing houses);
- organisations that provide us with technical and support services;
- our professional advisors;
- our employees, contractors or service providers for the purposes of operation of our business or our website or to fulfil requests by individuals;
- travel and accommodation service providers;
- external event managers;
- our industry partners and sponsors;
- event and conference venues including parks, recreational and sporting grounds, hotels, restaurants and golf clubs;
- suppliers and other third parties with whom we have commercial relationships, for business, marketing, and related purposes; and
- any organisation for any authorised purpose with your consent.

We may disclose your personal information to entities located outside of Australia, including to our data hosting and other IT service providers, located in the United States, New Zealand and Singapore. Additionally, participants in MDCF events are based in a large number of countries including Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, United States, United Kingdom and Vietnam. We provide them with information about MDCF and with copies of our newsletters and other event updates; these communications may include your personal information but only in a manner as permitted by our Privacy Policy or otherwise by law.
Before disclosing your personal information to an overseas recipient, we will take reasonable steps in the circumstances to ensure the overseas recipient complies with the APPs or is bound by a substantially similar privacy scheme unless you consent to the overseas disclosure or it is otherwise required or permitted by law.
