Frequently asked questions about teams
How do I create a team?
During the registration process, you will be asked if you would like to join or create a team. Select ‘Create a Team’ and then input your team name, fundraising target and team type. After your registration, you can invite a friend through your dashboard. Go to the ‘invite a friend tab’ and enter their email address.
How do I invite a friend to MDC?
Go to your dashboard and click on the ‘invite a friend’ tab. You’ll then be able to input your friend’s name and email address and their invite will be sent via email.
How can I see who is in my team?
When you log in to your dashboard, click on the ‘My Team’ section in the left-hand navigation menu. Here you will be able to access a ‘Team Members’ tab where you’ll be able to view everyone who has registered to be in your team. You will also be able to view your donations and ask for support.
How do I register a corporate team?
When you register for the Mother’s Day Classic, you will be asked if you would like to create a team. When creating a team, you will be able to select ‘Team Type’ and select ‘Corporate’ from the dropdown box.
Can we get a team discount?
If you purchase any four or more tickets in one transaction, a 15% discount will be automatically applied at checkout. The Mother’s Day Classic also offers various discounts throughout the campaign period for those who register early. As a charitable event, unfortunately we are unable to offer other discounts, however, we recommend that you encourage your team members to register as early as possible to take advantage of early bird discounts.
If you are registering a large team and would like to cover some or all of the cost of team members, we have a Deferred Payment offering. This is a popular option for corporate teams who are purchasing and/or subsidising tickets for their staff. How do I join an existing team?
During the registration process, you will be asked if you would like to join or create a team. If someone has already set up a team name, go to ‘Join a Team’ and select your team name from the dropdown menu. Complete your registration and you’ll be able to view your team information in your dashboard!
If you have already registered and want to change or join a team, please email the name and email addresses of those who wish to join the team, and the team name to firstname.lastname@example.org.
