SUPPORTING Breast Cancer Research

My friend Erin

My friend Erin.

Erin is one of those people who shows up for everyone else. She’s strong, kind, and the sort of person who makes hard things feel lighter just by being there. But last year, Erin was the one who needed others to show up for her.

When Erin was diagnosed with breast cancer, life changed overnight. Suddenly there were appointments, treatments, waiting rooms, and days that felt impossibly heavy. Days where bravery wasn’t loud or heroic — it was simply getting out of bed, turning up, and doing what had to be done.

What struck me most throughout Erin’s journey wasn’t just her strength, but her honesty. She showed us that it’s okay to be scared. It’s okay to be exhausted. And it’s okay to lean on the people around you.

Erin’s journey reminded me that breast cancer doesn’t just affect one person — it touches families, friends, colleagues, and entire communities. But it also shows us the power of community. The meals dropped off, the messages sent, the walks/runs taken together, and the unwavering support that says, “You’re not alone.”

As we walk/run, we walk for Erin.

We walk/run for everyone currently in treatment.

We walk/run for survivors.

And we walk/run in memory of those we’ve lost.

Events like the Mother’s Day Classic matter because they fund research, improve early detection, and give hope — real hope — that fewer people will have to hear the words “you have breast cancer” in the future.

This is for Erin — and for every story like hers. 💗

Together the Mother’s Day Classic community has donated...
